The List


I found this idea on someone's blog and decided to 'steal' it. It's 101 goals for me to accomplish in 1001 days. Anyone want to join me?
(P.S. I started this a while ago. Those in bold are what I have already accomplished!)

  1. Learn a new sport… let a guy teach me (SLACKLINING)  
  2. Get a different job (more than $200 per week) (BEN LOMOND, INC.)
  3. Go to a temple, other than Anchorage, Alaska (SLC, UT)
  4. Color a whole coloring book in less than a week (LOONEY TUNES)*
  5. cloud gaze (ON THE TRAMPOLINE W/ SISTERS)
  6. Dance in the rain 
  7. Be the 1st to start a conversation with a guy (SINGLES BRANCH FHE)
  8. Photograph every member of my family (including animals)… but Tyrel can’t be photographed until 8/2011!
  9. Have a conversation with someone outside my family about a favorite book
  10. Bear my testimony at least 3 times in one week
  11. Write a card or letter thanking my branch president or bishop for all that he does (PRESIDENT OLSEN)
  12. Dance with a really short guy
  13. Take a friend to visit the temple grounds
  14. Write a letter to the prophet or a general authority
  15. Sing in the shower… when I know someone will hear me!
  16. Ride on a train (TRAIN @ ALASKALAND)
  17. Attend a family ward and go to Relief Society with the ‘old ladies’
  18. Sew my own dress/skirt
  19. Go on a hike (HEALY)
  20. Take a family history name to the temple
  21. Play tourist for a day in Fairbanks
  22. Get/receive a ring (CTR FOR CAMI)
  23. Go to a restaurant I’ve never been to (In 'N' Out)
  24. Take a Marriage Prep Institute class (@ LDSBC)
  25. Dance with a really, really TALL guy (back-to-school dance in January, he was ridiculously tall, and March dance)
  26. Dance in a store with Uncle Rocky (danced around Temple Square, even better!)
  27. Befriend a complete stranger (female)  (Done this quite a bit at LDSBC)
  28. Write a card/letter/text thanking my home teachers for all that they do (@ LDSBC)
  29. Volunteer at a soup kitchen/helping homeless/refugee people (ward had valentine party for refugee kids)
  30. Go to a family ward (Christmas 2012, March 2012 Fast Sunday)
  31. Spend more than $50 at the Deseret Book Bookstore (within a period of 6 months)
  32. Make an online scrapbook/really nice photo album (my blog, http://picsinreallife.blogspot.com/ ) 
  33. Take more than 200 pictures of scenery in 1 day
  34. Go to a museum
  35. Befriend a complete stranger (male)
  36. Bake a treat for someone, just because.
  37. Go on 5 dates (1-September, 2-October, 3-December, 4-March, 5-March)
  38. Go on a group date
  39. Game night, with guys and girls
  40. Re-do my albums on Facebook; share more photos with relatives. 
  41. Never miss a class session for a specific Institute class for a semester (B.O.M. II class)
  42. Pack a picnic and eat it with someone. (had 2 during Conference weekend)
  43. Give a lesson in Relief Society/Sunday School/Primary/one of my classes OR give 2 talks in Sacrament Meeting OR 3 devotionals (1 devotional so far)
  44. Give 3 referrals to the missionaries (one so far!)
  45. Feed or talk with the missionaries at least once a month for a year (been here since September, talked a lot with sister missionaries, more like once a week)
  46. Write in my journal twice a week for a month (my personal, private blog counts)
  47. Visit an old folks’ home for a total of 2 hours (went for an hour)
  48. Read the entire Book of Mormon 
  49. Attend 2 missionary discussions 
  50. Be in a wedding party/take pictures of a wedding party 
  51. Buy a meal for the person behind me in line
  52. Write, at least, a short novel. And then get it bound (like a spiral notebook) and put a copy in my trunk and give another copy to someone else.
  53. Make a treat from scratch
  54. Swim/wade in the ocean
  55. Make a snowman/mud family
  56. Play in the mud!
  57. Write a letter to one important person in my life every day for a week
  58. Stargaze
  59. Give every person I have a conversation with a compliment for a whole day!
  60. Go to the fair/festival of colors/4th of July parade/something crazy that I've never been to before!
  61. Make a meal from scratch
  62. Read an issue of the General Conference talks from cover to cover… and mark it!
  63. Do the 12 days of Christmas for someone
  64. Do the last 12 days of summer/school for someone
  65. Go to a yard sale
  66. Brush snow off people’s cars anonymously
  67. Babysit for someone for free (outside the family, of course!)
  68. Buy flowers/something special for one of the girls I visit teach
  69. Take 3 Institute classes for one semester
  70. Attend a friend’s baptism (if possible) OR bring a friend to a baptism
  71. Befriend someone who’s not a member of my church
  72. Take one of the girls I visit teach out to eat/bring her a meal
  73. Heart attack the Relief Society President’s car
  74. Heart attack the Elder Quorum President’s car
  75. Bake cookies for police officers or firefighters
  76. Take a dance class (this can include a short 2 or so hours instruction class)
  77. Accompany Cassidee to 2 Seminary classes
  78. Make a meal/treat from an ancestor's recipe
  79. Invite 2 friends to church
  80. Invite 10 friends to a church activity (inviting my friends from school counts, if done in person)
  81. Flirt with a man in uniform (not a missionary, obviously!)
  82. Have at least 2 other people commit to do the 101/1001 with me!
  83. Spend at least an HOUR in an Alaskan town other than Fairbanks, Moose Creek, Salcha, Eielson Air Force Base, North Pole, Anchorage, Delta Junction, or Seward.
  84. Attend a family ward and help with young children during Sacrament Meeting
  85. Learn how to play a new musical instrument OR learn the accompaniment of one song on the piano
  86. Go on the Riverboat Discovery
  87. Pan for gold OR do something unique to a certain state
  88. Go ice skating/ice fishing/anything with ice
  89. Go to Denali National Park
  90. Go to a zoo
  91. Play with kids at the hospital/homeless shelter/etc.
  92. Finger paint something, or just simply paint something
  93. Use sidewalk chalk to decorate something
  94. Take a class about something
  95. Learn some new dances/dance moves
  96. Go to the Sea Life Center/somewhere popular in a certain state
  97. Decorate a cake
  98. Learn how to tie a tie or how to cut guys hair
  99. Do a ‘prank call’ and tell the person they’re awesome!
  100. Play the winking game at a Singles’ activity
  101. Donate $1 to a charity for each of these that I don’t complete by 2/4/2013.
